Intelli Custom Resumes Software:
Step III of Job Search Life Cycle (JSLC): Create Job Specific (Custom) Resumes
Based on a specific job description, users can
now customize one of their base resumes into a custom resume for applying to the
job. Users can parse the job description into a hyperlink list to identify keywords
and update their resumes accordingly. Resumes can be converted into MS Word documents
and attached to the Job Application package.
Users
start by selecting a job from the Saved Jobs list on the left. The job description
will show up at the top right. Browse the job description and then select a resume
that is most relevant from the drop down in the middle of the screen.
Clicking on the button "Parse job description" will show a hyperlinked version of
the job description on the top. Users can browse through it and click on keywords
that seem important to the application. If the keyword is present in the resume
already, a notification is provided. If the clicked keyword doesn't exist in the
resume it is added to a list (in green) at the top. Click on as many keywords
as needed.
Update the resume to add the keywords selected (in green). Note that the keywords
list (in green) will be lost if
you move away from this screen. So, complete your
update of the resume and click Save Resume as Word/text doc. The resume name is
defaulted to the name of the Saved Job so
they can belong to the same application
package. You will get an option to change the name of the resume before sending
the application in a later stage of the
Job Search Life Cycle (JSLC).
Users will be given an option to save as a word document also and if selected MS
Word should open up. The resume will be generated line by line in Word, please be
patient and wait for the full resume to be generated (scroll to the bottom to make
sure). Then "Save" (from Word menu) and close Word. your resume has been saved as
a Word doument as part of the application package. Next up, add a custom cover letter.
