Step IV of Job Search Life Cycle (JSLC): Add Custom Cover Letter
Based on a specific job description, users can
now customize one of their existing cover letters into a custom cover letter for applying to the
job. A sample cover letter is provided and users can paste any of
their cover letters so they are available as a staring point for customization.
Users
start by selecting a job from the Saved Jobs list on the left. The job description
will show up at the top right. Browse the job description and then select an existing
cover letter
that is most relevant from the drop down in the middle of the screen.
Update the cover letter if needed and click Save Cover Letter. The resume name is
defaulted to the name of the Saved Job so
they can belong to the same application
package. Do not change the name of the cover letter so it can belong to the application
package for the Saved Job.
